Fondren Library, in collaboration with Dr. Alexander Regier, Professor of English and Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures, has acquired a beautiful, handmade replica of an 18th-century printing press. This will serve as a major research and teaching tool for the whole Rice community.
An open house with Master Printmaker Michael Phillips, who for more than 30 years has researched the materials and methods that William Blake used in producing his illuminated books was held on March 1, 2023.
