Support Fondren Library's Digital Media Commons
This is where ideas come to life.
The Digital Media Commons is one of Fondren’s most dynamic spaces. Students use it for research, class projects, professional headshots, and creative work.
But behind the scenes, the equipment tells a different story.

The DMC currently manages several camera models. Some are modern. Some are aging. All require users to learn different menus and button layouts.
It slows students down. It creates unnecessary learning curves.
We can fix that.
Our goal: a unified fleet of 25 professional-grade cameras.
We have 17. We need 8 more.

During the March 4 24-Hour Challenge, we’re raising $16,000 for this project.
When we reach $10,000, the FoFL Board will release a $5,000 match.
Your gift supports student creators.
Your gift helps unlock $5,000 more.
And when 7,000 donors give university-wide, Rice unlocks $850,000 in additional funds.
Eight cameras. Hundreds of students. Immediate impact.
