About

I bring an interdisciplinary background in communication, information science, and public health to my work at Fondren Library, with particular expertise in digital research methods, information integrity, and the analysis of large-scale textual data.

My research has involved social media data, large digital archives, and qualitative interviews, giving me experience in both computational and qualitative approaches to studying information. At Fondren, I help researchers turn complex digital information into meaningful and trustworthy research evidence. My areas of focus include computational text analysis with Python, social media and digital-source research, misinformation and source evaluation, and computational–qualitative methods.

I also explore how generative AI can be responsibly incorporated into research and teaching, particularly for text analysis, information evaluation, and AI-assisted research methods. Rather than focusing on particular technologies, my work emphasizes research questions, methodological rigor, critical evaluation, and responsible interpretation of digital evidence.

I teach library workshops on programming, text analysis, critical information evaluation, and fluency in AI, and draw on my interdisciplinary experience in research, grant writing, and publication to help scholars find, analyze, and responsibly interpret archival and social media data, with AI-informed guidance woven throughout.
