Eileen Han received her PhD in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania, with a research focus on digital media and activism. She also holds a Master's degree in Information Sciences from the University of Michigan, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow in public health at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). At Fondren Library, her work supports teaching in programming and data analytics courses, particularly in text analysis, and she also works on improving critical skills of information literacy in research and teaching, particularly with AI tools. With her experiences in research, grant writing, and publication, she is particularly interested in helping researchers and students in finding, analyzing, and interpreting archival and social media data sources related to public health, social sciences, and humanities.
