Note: Due to Rice's restricting on-campus access to Rice students, faculty and staff in light of the pandemic, Fondren will not be accepting community volunteers for in-person service through fall semester 2020.
Volunteers at the Woodson Research Center work in many ways to ensure the long-term physical stability of our rare books, archives, and manuscripts, so that they will remain available to researchers. Book box making, mylar encapsulation of fragile paper, manuscript research and identification of photographs are just a few of the tasks taken on by volunteers. For more information, contact: Amanda Focke, Director of the Woodson Research Center at: email@example.com or 713.348.2124.
From time to time, there are volunteer opportunities in other areas of the library. For more information, contact: Melinda Reagor Flannery, Assistant University Librarian for Technical Services at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 713.348.3773.
