Reginald Moore Travel Grant for Research in Activism and Social Justice

The Woodson Research Center, with the support of Fondren Library, is pleased to support researchers in the topic of activism and social justice with an annual travel grant of up to $2,500. This grant is in honor of Mr. Reginald Moore, a longtime community activist in the legacy of convict leasing locally in Sugar Land, Texas, as well as nationally. Researchers are welcome regardless of academic status. 

Special Collections

There are more than 1,000 manuscript collections in the Woodson Research Center that focus on the history of Texas and the Greater Houston area, politics, entrepreneurship, oil and gas, architecture, women’s history, and fine and performing arts.
